I was reading a review recently on ‘Mastery‘ by Robert Greene and I wanted to share with you three pieces of advice on how you can become a Master of your life.
1. The first one is – look inward. Take the time to reflect on your passion and on the type of work you are doing and whether what you are doing as a job is a good fit for you. Are you motivated, inspired, engaged? Make the observation. If you feel it’s not a good fit, make a plan to move toward the things that do motivate, inspire and engage you. Use your current skill set and see how you can expand of those skills moving forward toward your passion.
2. The second one is – Have faith in the learning process. This is all about belief. During the learning phase, there is excitement and motivation. To keep up the enthusiasm, keep your mind focused on the road ahead and enjoy the rewards along the way. They will be plentiful if you maintain a strong belief. Think of any great athlete and all the training and set backs they endure. But their sights are clearly on the end result because they have a strong belief.
3. The third one is – develop as many skills as you can. Learn the most you can from every situation. Every job you have ever done, every task you’ve undertaken, every skill you have ever learnt will all serve you to become the best version of you. Keep an open mind to explore every possibility and expand your knowledge.
Why am I sharing this?
Because I believe there is power in the journey of life. You don’t have to be stuck where you are right now. You can always move towards something more rewarding when you are ready.
Are you ready now?
I hope you can get something out of this and reward yourself with an exceptional life.
